Presbyterian Day School is in session Monday through Thursday from late August until late May.
Each school day begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 2:30 pm.
Children will bring their lunch and a snack.
Toddlers & Twos
A safe nurturing environment for your little ones. They will be developing social skills and independence which are valuable for social and emotional development. With an emphasis on colors, shapes, numbers and language skills in a loving hands on environment.
Children must be one by September 1st to enroll in the toddler class.
This is a two day class: (Tuesday/Thursday). Toddler classes have a 8:2 student-teacher ratio.
Children must be two by September 1st
Two-year-old classes have a 10:2 student-teacher ratio.
In our classes for 3-year-olds, we focus on social-emotional development and class routine. Incorporating short circle times and table work helps children learn to follow directions. Along with purposeful play and hands-on learning create opportunities to explore and discover.
Children who will be three by September 1st may enroll in the threes.
Children are required to be potty trained before entering the three’s classes.
Three classes have a 12:2 student-teacher ratio.
Pre-Kindergarten classes are a more structured environment that also continues to make learning fun! We focus on Kindergarten readiness, meeting diverse needs, and continuing to build literacy skills. We expand on subjects that children are interested in, including science experiments and deep-dives into topics that help them understand their world. This class offers multiple learning opportunities for academic growth and social-emotional readiness for kindergarten.
Children who will be four by September 1st may enroll in the three day class
The classes have a 12:2 student-teacher ratio.
Following the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Kindergarten and using “Meet the Superkids” curriculum the teachers will also help children communicate, solve problems, and provide time for academic learning and working together as a classroom community. In addition to math and language arts, which are a major focus of kindergarten, children also learn science, social studies, art, music, physical education and life skills.
Children who will be five years old by September 1st may enroll in kindergarten.
The class has a 15:2 student-teacher ratio.
